SSCB - Swiss Stem Cells Biotech SA was founded in 2005 within the Cardiocentro Ticino in Lugano, a highly specialized research hospital, which was the site of the first autologous stem cell transplant in Switzerland on a patient affected by myocardial infarction in 2004. Since the beginning of our activity as a private umbilical cord bank, it was 2005 and it was among the very first in Europe, we defined our procedures on the basis of the FACT-Netcord standard, also because that was and is the recommendation of Swissmedic, the Swiss medicines control authority.
