I recently tried out some Meinl percussion instruments and I have to say, I was not impressed. The sound was mediocre and the quality was subpar. The craftsmanship left much to be desired and I noticed several flaws in the instruments. The customer service provided by Meinl was also average. They were responsive, but didn't really go above and beyond. Overall, I would not recommend Meinl percussion to other musicians.
